Andy Coffman, 导演 of Aquatics

Coach Andy Coffman took over the BG大游官网 Aquatics program in 2015 and has since led the Friars to the CIF-SS Division 3 水球 Championship in 2018 while being named Coach of the 一年 by the 加州 教练 Association and the CIF-SS. He was also invited to coach the 2017 All-Star game in which BG大游官网 hosted and had three players participate

He has helped send 12 players to compete collegiately, nine in water polo and three for swim and has had five players earn All-CIF recognition with one being named Player of the 一年.

As the 游泳 Coach, Coffman took four Friars to the CIF State Tournament in 2018 with his athlete's setting new school and 三一联盟 records in the 50个免费 and 200 Free relay.

Prior to being hired as the Aquatics 导演 at BG大游官网, Coach Coffman served as the boy’s head water polo coach at University High School from 2008-2014 and the head coach at SOCAL 水球 Foundation from 2009-2014.

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Coffman played at UC Irvine under legendary coach Ted Newland and was a member of the Anteater's swim team for two seasons. During his time at UCI, he also trained with the USA National team and played one season in the Australian National 联盟.

Coffman returned to his alma mater in 2004 where he spent seven seasons as the Women’s 水球 assistant coach helping the Anteaters to three consecutive Big West conference championships and a school best 5^th place finish at the NCAA Championship tournament. During this time he also served as an assistant coach at Corona Del 3月 High School and as the General Manager/Head Coach of the Coast 水球 Club.

Coffman graduated from UCI in 2001 with a degree in social sciences. Before attending UCI he was an All-American in water polo and swimming at Clovis High School.

Steve Pickell, 游泳 Coach

Coach Pickell was a two-time Olympian (1976 / 1980)  and won a Silver Medal For Canada in the 400 Medley Relay in the 1976 Olympics. He set two world records in the 100 SCM Backstroke and 100 SCM Butterfly in 1977. He was also a seven time All-American, NCAA Champion and 团队 Captain at the University of Southern 加州.

He started coaching as an assistant to 名人堂 Coach, 彼得Daland, while attending graduate school at the University of Southern 加州.  From 1999 to 2015 he coached swimming and water polo at Foothill HS.  In 2015 he became the Head 游泳 Coach at Tustin High School before becoming the Head 游泳 Coach at BG大游官网 and Rosary High School in 2019. In addition, he is a current coach for USA 游泳 and is an ASCA Level 4 Coach. He was selected as a National 小君ior 团队 Coach 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016.

When not coaching, Steve is managing the family insurance business, 钓鱼, playing basketball and spending time with his wife, Shelley and his four sons, 布莱克, 尼克, Paul and Cooper and his grandchildren, 肯尼迪, 罗宾·梅。 & 怀亚特.
